Spotify music bingo generator: from playlist to printed cards in a minute

If your songs already live in a Spotify playlist, you are one paste away from a music bingo game. BingoCreator reads the public playlist page, imports every title and artist, and generates as many different cards as you need, free, with no Spotify Premium and no account on our side.

Spotify then stays what it is best at: the player. You keep the playlist on your phone or laptop, play each song for half a minute, and the cards, the host song list and the checking of bingos are handled by us.

How it works

1

Copy the playlist link

In Spotify, open the playlist, tap the three dots, then Share and Copy link. The playlist must be public; a private one gives a "playlist not found" error.

2

Paste it in the generator

Open BingoCreator, choose Import from Spotify and paste the link. Titles and artists are imported in a few seconds. Remove the songs you do not want, or add a few by hand.

3

Generate, print, press play

Pick the grid and the number of cards, download the PDF and the host song list. During the game, play each song from Spotify for 20 to 30 seconds and tick it off on the host sheet.

Which playlists work

Your own playlists and any public playlist made by a person import fine. That includes playlists shared in a WhatsApp group, a friend's wedding playlist, or one you found by searching Spotify, as long as it is set to public.

Private and collaborative playlists are not visible from outside your account. Open the playlist in Spotify, tap the three dots and choose Make public, import it, and switch it back afterwards if you prefer.

Spotify's own editorial playlists (Today's Top Hits, RapCaviar, the decade mixes and the personalised Daily Mixes) cannot be read by any third-party tool since Spotify closed that part of its API in late 2024. This affects every music bingo generator, not only this one. Two ways around it: add the songs to a playlist of your own and import that, or start from one of our ready-made song lists, which cover the most requested themes.

Playlist not found?

Nine times out of ten the playlist is private. The other case is a link copied from the Spotify desktop app that points to a folder or an album instead of a playlist. Open it in the Spotify app, check that the page says Playlist and Public, and copy the link again.

Building a playlist that plays well

The post from a Spotify playlist to a bingo game in 60 seconds shows the whole flow with screenshots, and the host song list explains the sheet you tick during the game.

Playing the music

Any Spotify account can play the songs; Premium only removes the adverts, which matters in a bar and not at a family table. Connect the phone to a speaker, keep the host list next to it, and play each track for 20 to 30 seconds. With a Spotify Free account, songs in a playlist play in order on desktop and in shuffle on mobile, so on a phone it is easier to search each song as you go.

Prefer no paper at all? Create a multiplayer game: players scan a QR code, get a card on their phone, and the app checks lines and bingos while you run Spotify.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Spotify Premium to make or play music bingo?

No. Importing a public playlist needs no Spotify account at all, and playing the songs works with Spotify Free. Premium only removes adverts and lets you pick the exact song on mobile without shuffle.

Why does my playlist say "not found"?

Because it is private or collaborative. Open it in Spotify, choose Make public, import it, and make it private again if you want. Editorial playlists made by Spotify itself cannot be imported by any tool since late 2024; copy their songs into your own playlist instead.

Can I import from Apple Music, YouTube or Deezer?

Not as a link yet. Type the titles in the manual mode, one per line, which takes a couple of minutes for 40 songs. The game itself can then be played from any music app.

How many songs should the playlist have?

At least 40 for a 5×5 card, so that the cards differ enough and the first line does not come too early. For a short 3×3 game, 15 to 20 songs are plenty.

Does the generator connect to my Spotify account?

It does not need to. Pasting a public playlist link reads the public page only. Connecting your account is an option for browsing your own playlists, but Spotify currently limits that option to a small allow-list of users, so the link route is the one that works for everyone.
